Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve There is something to photograph here all year round. Terrific for orchids, dragonflies in the summer and fungus in the Autumn.
Lancashire, Cheshire & Merseyside Wildlife Trust
Formby Point Nature Reserve, Merseyside- The most habituated red squirrels (Scirius vulgaris) I know. Take unsalted shelled peanuts and peanut butter (low salt variety).

Martin Mere WWT - A good location for easy waterfowl photography in a large collection. In the winter huge flocks of whooper swans congregate near the hides at feeding time
Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust
Donna Nook - Best known for its colony of Grey seals, best visited from October to January, though seals are present all year round. Please contact the warden before visiting this site and check tide times and heights.
Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust
Heysham LNR - This land has been recovered from an industrial estate. the ponds make a great habitat for dragon and damselflies and during the summer it is a prime location for butterfly photography.
Lancashire, Cheshire & Merseyside Wildlife Trust
Caelaverock WWT Dumfries, Geese galore, Swans a plenty and tame hedgerow birds. Badger watching from the Farmhouse at night make this a fabulous winter location.
Gait Barrows NNR - A fine example of a mature Limestone Pavement. There is a Trail around the reserve to follow though permits are needed to walk directly on the main pavement. Lots of dwarf plant species and a wonderful butterfly glade.

Kgaladadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa - A location for our 2004 Trip
Nxai Pan National Park, Botswana - A dry desert environement with acacia and baobabs. Incredible sunsets and frantic action waterholes. Camping out on the pan is an unforgettable experience. Masson Safaris
South Luangwa National Park, Zambia (2005). A riverine habitat which rivals Serengeti. One of the first places in the world to introduce bush walking and night drives. Kafunta River Lodge
Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana - Mixed Mopani forest, savanna grassland and aquatic habitats at the delta end of the Okavango Masson Safaris
   
Boulders Beach Penguin Reserve, South Africa - A conservation success story. Several hundred african penguins have established a breeding colony right in the middle of a popular beach resort. Boulders Beach
Okavango River, Botswana - Ask to see the fish eagles swooping down into the river to catch fish. Kingfishers and herons galore. Beware of the crocs and hippos. Masson Safaris
